raining money 150x150 The Rich and Single Live in CaliforniaThe Wall Street Journal’s Wealth Report covered a recent CNNMoney list of the “Best Places for the Rich and Single,” and noted that three of the top five cities are in California:

Manhattan Beach, CA – 30% single, median income $154,860

Tysons Corner, VA – 32% single, median income $143,749

Beverly Hills, CA – 30% single, median income $142,180

Hermosa Beach, CA – 47.5% single, median income $134,033

Madison, NJ – 32% single, median income $131,529

However, as the Journal noted, the data from the list came from combining U.S. cities’ median household income data and single population ratios – but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they go together.  High household incomes may be reflective of dual-income married people, and singles can also mean college students or a large population of elderly residents.

Still, California is the Golden State…a wonderful place to live, work and earn.  And since we apparently have a good share of wealth, it is also a state whose residents need to safeguard their hard-earned wealth through proper asset protection planning.
